Led by record-breaking runs from Boys' Track & Field, St. John's Mavericks put up Texas size performances in Austin. Boys' Tennis, Girls' Tennis, Boys' Lacrosse, Girls' Lacrosse, Baseball, and Softball all won on the weekend versus Austin area teams.
Lethan Hampton, Douglas Parsley, Aloye Oshotse, and Genson Hooper came within .4 seconds of winning the 92nd Texas Relays 4 x 400 Relay by running a new school record 3:20.90 to place second today in Austin. Davis Thames ran in the preliminary with Hampton, Oshotse, and Parsley to get us into the final. Collin Fullen, Hampton, Will Skinner, and Hooper had already finished a close 2nd in the 4x100 Relay final in a season-best 41.93 and Collin Fullen and Genson Hooper went 4 & 5 in the 100 meter final in 10.67 and 10.74 respectively. While the boys 4x800 Relay had a rough race, the girls ran a season-best in the 4x800 with Cici Calhoun, Catie Beck, Julia Jones, and Mira Thakur, and the girls 4x100 team of Hannah Garrou, Ciela Stark, Mira Thakur, and Shelby DesRoches ran 51.55.
