Maverick Football Named Finalist for THSCA Athletic Excellence Award
The Texas High School Coaches Association (THSCA) has announced that the 2021 St. John's Varsity Football team is a State Finalist for the 2021-22 National Football Foundation High School Academic Excellence Award.
The Texas High School Coaches Association, along with 29 other state high school associations, recognizes the importance of honoring programs that demand excellence not only on the football field but also in the classroom. Teams must have a 3.0-grade point average or above to qualify as state finalists. A State Champion and National Champion will be awarded in the upcoming weeks.
