Ryan Horsch Named Boys' Lacrosse Program Head and PE Instructor
St. John’s is pleased to announce that Ryan Horsch has been named Boys' Lacrosse Program Head and Physical Education Instructor starting in the Fall of 2023. Coach Horsch takes over the program from Head Coach David Cohn who is the new St. John’s Athletic Director. Coach Horsch emerged from a very competitive pool of candidates demonstrating a clear vision for the program and a passion for developing student-athletes both on and off the field.
Coach Horsch is currently Assistant Coach and Defensive Coordinator at Culver Academies in Culver, Indiana. Prior to Culver, Coach Horsch was the Varsity Head Coach at Palos Verdes High School in Palos Verdes, CA. He has been a Director with Mad Dog Lacrosse both in California and New Jersey. Coach Horsch hails from New Jersey and began his coaching career at Monmouth University as an assistant coach after a stellar playing career at Monmouth. He was a two-time All-MAAC selection, Team MVP, and selected to the All-MAAC Tournament Team. He was also a two-year captain. In addition to his role as Boys' Lacrosse Program Head Coach, Coach Horsch will also serve as a coach in the Athletic Department during the Fall and Winter seasons. Coach Horsch will also serve as a teacher in our Lower School Physical Education Department. We look forward to welcoming Coach Horsch as he settles into Houston in the next few months.
