Mavericks Land Houston Chronicle Boys Basketball and Wrestling Honors

Congratulations to Braden Lane on being named Private School Boys Wrestler of the Year by the Houston Chronicle. Mason Lum, Nico Sturgis, Yahya Mir, and Noah Jamison were also named to the All-Greater Houston Private School Team.

Congratulations also to Malachi Booker who was selected as the Houston Chronicle Private School Basketball Newcomer of the Year and to Sebastian Williams Adams who received first-team basketball honors.

Boys Wrestler of the Year
Braden Lane, Fr., St. John's
Lane had an impressive first high school season, highlighted by Prep Slam, Texas Prep State, and Southwest Preparatory Conference championships. Lane was listed at 46-5 following his Prep title in the 106 class and added two more victories to win SPC gold at 113, helping the Mavericks win their eighth consecutive team championship. He also earned bronze in 113 at Cinco Ranch's Big 12 Invitational.
