In a game that was closer than the score would indicate, the Mavs played remarkably well considering it was the first game of the season and we only had the benefit of a few practices.  The Falcons came to Lee with a talented squad and, while we were often under pressure, we defended well and were able to counter attack repeatedly. The Falcons did score three times in the second half to put the game out of reach but that does not take away from all the positive things we did in our first game.
