Mavericks sidewind their last game with a victory over Friends School of Baltimore.
On Monday St. John's finished their tour on the beautiful grass field at Durham Academy versus Baltimore's Friends Quakers.   Coached by Tom Marechek, one of the all time best attackmen in the game, Friends was the most physical team the Mavericks faced on the trip.

Who else but Cordill to get things going for St. John's. Birthday boy Bernicker, assisted him and David Edwards '13 for an early lead they would not relinquish. G. Crady, and Michael Newar '15 (Loya) then made it a 4-2 half time lead. J. Newar assisted Bernicker and scored on his own for a 6-2 advantage going into the final period. Edwards (Bernicker) made it 7-2 before Friends fired off three unanswered goals to cut the lead to 7-5. Gb leader Logan Smith '13 found Michael Cregan '13 on a break to put St. John's ahead 8-5 with six minutes to go. In a final flurry, G. Crady, Loya (Edwards), and Cregan (Edwards) converted for the 11-5 win. Trieschman and Wang had 6 and 5 saves respectively.
Thanks to the parents, players, captains and coaches for making this another spring trip head over heels.

The Mavericks face off against Strake Jesuit on Wednesday, March 20 at Strake.
