The Mavericks battled the Knights this week starting with Boys Volleyball on Tuesday at EHS and ending with Varsity Football on Friday at home on Skip Lee Field.  The overall team results were tied at 4-4 until the final whistle of the varsity football game.  St. John's led at halftime 14-13, but EHS took a 20-17 lead late in the third period.  In the fourth period, the Knights drove the ball deep into Maverick territory and looked to pad their lead only to throw an interception near the Maverick goal line.  St. John's then marched 99 yards for the go-ahead touchdown and the defense held the Knights on their final possession for a first SJS Varsity Football win over EHS since 2011.
