Mavericks Sign NLI

Congratulations to Sloan Davidson (UVA Field Hockey), Ella Flowers (USC Swimming), Emmanuel Sgouros (Texas Cross Country, Track & Field), Erin Walsh (Davidson Field Hockey), and Megan Wetzel (BU Field Hockey) for signing National Letters of Intent (NLI's) on November 10 at the St. John's ceremony held on Liu Court and streamed by Vype.

St. John's Athletic department hosted an NLI signing ceremony on Liu court to celebrate five seniors who signed National Letters of Intent to compete at the Division 1 level starting next fall. 

Here is what they had to say about going to the next level.
  • Sloan Davidson - University of Virginia Field Hockey: "I'm really thankful that my hard work paid off and happy to play at the next level with new competition."
  • Ella Flowers - University of Southern California Swimming: "I'm so happy it means so much to have everyone here. I've met some of my new teammates and super excited to continue swimming and be a student athlete."
  • Emmanuel Sgouros - University of Texas Cross Country, Track & Field: It's very exciting.  It's a culmination of a lot hard work these past four years and I am looking forward what I can accomplish at UT."
  • Erin Walsh - Davidson College Field Hockey "I've always loved field hockey and it means a lot getting to play at the next level."
  • Megan Wetzel - Boston University Field Hockey  "I'm so excited. I love the team culture there and I love Boston and so excited to be in the city."
