St. John's Mavericks Wrestling program stood at the top of the podium in Houston last weekend. 
On Friday at EHS, Varsity Wrestling won the 2023 Houston Prep Duals defeating FBCA 72-6, EHS 60-18, Bay Area 75-4, Kinkaid 53-27, and St. Thomas 53-24. The next day Maverick Middle School won the City Championships held at St. John's with a score of 253 points. Kinkaid Middle School finished second with 147 points.
