The Mavericks played the visiting Houston Christian Mustangs yesterday in a non-SPC game.  This was the third meeting between the two teams this season, and the second one in five days.  St. John's won the first two meetings, but were unlucky in this contest.  The offensive attack for the Mavericks was lead by Regan Rau with 3 hits and scoring 2 of the teams runs.  Boo Mayer had two hits and scored a run, Nora Niebruegge had a hit and scored.  Cat Cain had a huge hit to tie the game in the 4th inning, driving in two runs to tie the gam.  Laura Burdine collected the other hit, and suffered her second loss of the season.
