St. John's started the day wandering on the fields of central Texas waiting for the smoke to clear from the broken down bus on highway 71 at Smithville.  With inevitable delay, the boys took refuge in the local diner down the road and ate what proved to be the perfect pre game meal consisting of chips, amp, red bull, fajitas, and one lonely salad.

The girls team stepped up big to give us their bus for the final leg of the trip and the return after the game.

When the whistle finally blew at St. Andrew's for the opening face off, St. John's dominated for for the first half, leaving the Cru in the wake of a 10-1 half time lead.
Ryan Cordill assisted on the first goal less than two minutes into the game to William Young (3, 4) and the scoring went the Mavericks way.  One of Texas' legendary oak trees is located in Austin, but St. John's own "Texas Oak," Edward Williams, proved to command the crease in Austin on 4/4.  E5 scored five of his six goals in the first half, as the Mavericks seemed to be flawless on the well groomed field at St. Andrew's.
Patrick Wilkey went two and two, Peter Guffey had two goals and an assist, Reed Daniel scored, and Peter Crain notched his first assist of the season.  Luke Phillips also tallied an assist and Guffey led the team in gb's.

The Mavericks remain undefeated in SPC play and set their sites on Dallas for the SPC Championship later in April.
