Hurricane Ike has seemed to instill even more fury into the Girls Varsity Volleyball Team.  The Mavericks first match back against local Home School Program HCYA, was indeed a test of a 15 day break.  ALexa Carrasco & Mary Ashleigh Boles led the team in kills, with Amanda Hu & Emily Cain sharing 4 solo-blocks.

Friday & Saturday's match against Austin area St. Andrews and St. Stephens were the Mavericks first two conference matches.  With two dominating defeats against conference rivals this Maverick Volleyball team is back in the drivers seat to a Division I SPC Championship.
