After a needed break in the afternoon, St. John’s hitched up to Barnhardt Stadium for one more show before the sun started to set under the trees in Memorial. Zach Gaitz started the scoring and then assisted Billy Young before Caldwell Flores, fresh off the trail, hit the game winner at the end of the first period. The combo of Daniel and Gaitz made it 4-1 and Max Susman assisted Wilkey, followed by Young to William Payne to make it 6-2 with 5:20 to go in the third. Flores and Susman connected for another score then Wilkey and Gaitz found the net once more. Hats off to those Mavericks: 2009 K.I.L.T. Champions!
