MAVS FINISH REGULAR SEASON #1 WITH WIN OVER FALCONS

With one final regular season victory, the Mavs secured the #1 seed heading into both SPC South Zone and TGHSLL South District Playoffs...a great feat for this young team!   As the #1 city seed, the team has earned a "bye" in the quarterfinals and will host a semifinal game on Tuesday 4/21.

As for Thursday at Kinkaid, the Mavs got the win.  Hats off to Kinkaid for playing hard on their Senior Night and keeping the Mavs on their heels for most of the contest.  The Mavs will get much-needed rest over the three day weekend.  Come Monday, we will enjoy a week of practice and fine-tuning.  This team still has much to learn.  Every season has its ups and downs, challenges and triumphs.  The reward comes when all 22 players and coaches keep their sights set on the end goal:  that simple goal of working hard, doing our best, and supporting eachother along the way.  It is then that the TEAM will be able to look back and say, "Well done!"

The past two weeks have been huge for this team.   One could say this team plays big when it counts most.  EHS and Cy Fair defeated by 6+ goals...wow!!   I don't know about you, but I'm excited to see what the future holds!   Calling all fans, past parents, past players!  Come support this great group of players in the city semifinals on 4/21!  GO MAVS!
