Tim Otey and Coach Greg Cook after Otey won the B Division Long Jump at Texas Relays and set a new school record!

Tim Otey Breaks School Record and Wins B Long Jump!

Tim Otey jumped 22'8.75" to break a 31 year old record and win the B Division of the Texas Relays.  Jackie Modesett is qualified 2nd fo the 100m Hurdle final Saturday.  Click for full story and go HERE for results...
Tim Otey jumped 22'8.75" to break a 31 year old record and win the B Division of the Texas Relays.  Jackie Modesett ran 14.81a and qualified 2nd for Saturday's 2:50pm final in the girls DI 100m Hurdles.  The boys 4x400 team of Sam Jamison, Nathan Avery, Derek Fossi, and Jonathan Ong ran a season best 3:39.27a.  Sam Jamison ran a PR 15.95a in the 110m Hurdles, Sam Night ran a PR 100m in 12.94a, Jonathan Bradford ran a solid 11.76a, Kory Haywood endured 4 false starts to finally run a good race tha went untimed!!!  Unfortunately, Anne Johnson did not make the trip because of a stomach flu and Abby Avery was bothered by a sore calf, so the girls did not run the 4x400 relay qualifying round.  Go HERE for results, and check this site to see about loading live video for Saturday's running events: http://www.texassports.com/sports/tex-relays/tex-tex-relays-body.html.  The 4x100s run at 9:30, Tim Otey triple jumps around 9:30, and Jackie runs the 100H final at 2:50pm.
