Mavericks Have Great Meet in Beautiful Weather!

There were many good performances on a beautiful Maverick Relays day at McMurrey Memorial Track.  The girls finished 2nd, only 2 points behind Concordia Lutheran, without a few key performers in Chicago and with minor injuries, so the team was happy with the peformance!  Click for more info, complete results, and links to pictures...
There were many good performances on a beautiful Maverick Relays day at McMurrey Memorial Track.  The girls finished 2nd, only 2 points behind Concordia Lutheran, without a few key performers in Chicago and with minor injuries, so the team was happy with the peformance!  Go HERE for complete results.  The girls and boys both won the Shuttle Hurdle Relays, the girls won the 4x800 relay and were second in the 4x100 and 4x400 with season bests, and the boys team ran a season best in the 4x100 relay.  Jackie Modesett won both hurdles and Sam Jamison was 2nd in the 300 hurdles and 5th in the 110 hurdles. Sam Night was 3rd in the 100 meters, Elise Viguet was 2nd in the 800 meters, and Stephanie Guo was 2nd in both hurdle races.  Plenty of athletes posted season or personal best performances!  Jackie Modesett was chosen, by a committee of coaches from othes schools, to receive the J.
