The Mavericks had a successful first day at the SPC Championships at All Saints in Ft. Worth. Results are posted online both days on the St. John's team page on www.athletic.net HERE and at FlashTexas HERE.
The Girls finished second in the 4x800 relay, Jackie Modesett was third in the high jump, Stephanie Guo, Grace VanLoh, and Meryl Gibbs came in 2nd, 5th, and 6th respectively in the triple jump, and Briana Williams was 7th in the discus throw.
Philip Taffet finished 8th in the boys 3200 meters and the boys 4x800 placed 8th.
The girls and boys both qualified in the 4x100 relays, and there are numerous qualifiers for girls and boys for the finals.
