Girls Win 49th Maverick Relays; Boys Finish Strong Second

The Girls won big at the 49th Maverick Relays and the Boys won the 4x400 Relay to pass EHS for 2nd place behind St. Thomas High School.  Complete results are HERE.  Videos up HERE.  Picture Gallery HERE courtsey of Mrs. Hasley.  Several good performances and SPC qualifying marks - Isabelle Paine won both hurdles, Genson Hooper Price won the boys 400m, Peyton Brown  and Joe Faraguna both won the 1600 meters, Katie Hasley was 2nd in the Discus Throw, Matthew Mercado was 2nd in the exhibition Javelin Throw, Caroline Ankoma-Sey was second in the 100 meters and Mia Guien was 3rd, Margaret Trautner was 2nd in the 800 meters, Mycah Clay 3rd in the 300 Hurdles, Toby Emiola 3rd in the 200 meters, Julia Moody and Lillian Chen finished 2-3 in the 1600 meters, Isabelle Paine, Lena McZeal, Mycah Clay, and Caroline Ankoma-Sey won the 4x100, the team of Caroline Ankoma-Sey, Margaret Trautner, Kat Smith, and Isabelle Paine won the girls 4x400 relasy, and the boys 4x400 team of Ian Thakur, Joe Faraguna, Christian Flowers and Genson Hooper-Price won the boys 4x400.

Isabelle Paine was awarded the J. Fred Duckett Outstanding Female Athlete Award and Landon Malouf of St. Thomas received the Stephen Kaestner Outstanding Male Athlete Award.
