The McMurrey Memorial Track
The Maverick track is named in honor of Frank McMurrey, one of the top high school pole vaulters in the nation in the early 1970s, who tragically died of a heart defect during his senior year. He held the St. John's Pole Vault record at 15'0 until about 8 years ago.
