Mavericks tame Lions

Freshman Laura Burdine made her debut on the varsity level yesterday with an outstanding pitching performance, throwing a no-hitter over 5 innings of play. Regan Rau, Boo Meyer and Lizzy Padhi provided most of the offense collecting a total of 8 hits between the three of them. Regan and Lizzy both had triples; Regan also had a double. Scoring runs for the team were Rau and Meyer with three each, Gabby Wise, Danielle Pike, Virginia Waldrop, Lizzy and Laura with one each. The team plays again today against Houston Christian at Baseball USA.
