Mavericks defeat Crusaders
The Mavericks defeated the visiting Crusaders from Concordia Lutheran 5-1. Behind the second no-hitter from freshman Laura Burdine this season, the Mavs got even with the Crusaders.
Nora Niebruegge had two hits along with Regan Rau. Regan and Boo Mayer also had doubles. Terrell Finnegan also collected a hit. Scoring runs were Nora, Regan, Terrell, Lizzy Padhi and Laura Burdine.
Nora and substitute first baseman Virginia combined on a game ending double play on a line shot to Nora, who threw to Virginia to double the runner.
