Mavericks defeat KHS Falcons to take third at SPC

The Mavericks got revenge on the "evil empire from the west" the Kinkaid Falcons in the third place game of SPC, winning 8-3.  Leading the team in batting were:  Susan Watkins with 3 hits, 3 runs scored and two steals.  Virginia Waldrop had two hits, scored twice and had a steal.  Nora Niebruegge had a hit for a triple, Regan Rau had a hit and stole a base, Boo Mayer had a hit, scored once and stole a base.  Lizzie Padhi had a hit that lead to two runs scoring.  Terrell Finnegan rounded out the hitting collecting a single in the top of the 4th inning.  Senior Melissa Baker picked up the win.
