MAVS RAISE THEIR GAME WITH MOON LOOMING ON SKIP LEE FIELD

Peter Guffey started the scoring for the 2008 season to give the Mavericks a lead they would keep throught the moonlit night on Skip Lee Field vs Austin High School.
Edward Williams added the next goal (four total) as St. John's went up by two and eventually 5-2 at the half on an unassisted goal by William Young as time expired.
William Jewett, Patrick Wilkey, William Payne, Reed Daniel, and Luke Phillips, also tallied points on the night.
Henry Waller and the defense stood stout around the cage with Waller coming up with 5 saves.
Guffey, Daniel, Phillips, and Ryan Cordill led the team in gb's.
This was a rare opener on "beautiful Skip Lee Field."  The drum corps, Ted Curry, and a raucus crowd keep the momentum moving for the Mavs the entire game.
St. John's hosts Kingwood Wednesday night 700 pm on Scotty Caven Field.  Bring your cowbells, pots, and pans and cheer on your mighty Mavericks!
