ST. JOHN'S WINS "FRIENDLY" VS. LAMAR

On a beautiful spring night on Scotty Caven Field, St. John's Varsity Lacrosse won the noon-counter over our friends next door from Lamar.  SJ took control of the game and found the net primarily in the first and third quarters.  The Mavericks got points from Patrick Wilkey, Tim Root, Edward Williams, Peter Guffey, and William Young with Root and Williams posting hat tricks again.

St. John's looked to run away from Lamar at the end of the first period by scoring three goals in the final two minutes.  Williams, Wilkey, and Young found the right mix to take a 4-2 lead. 
The Mavericks went on another run in the third and went up 9-4 on the Redskins, and finished up with a 10-5 win.
SJS hosts St. Mary's Hall on Saturday at noon for our first SPC showdown on Caven Field.
