Led by a stingy goalie play from Henry Waller, and double digit scoring from Patrick Wilkey, Edward Williams, Peter Guffey, and William Young, St. John's pulled away from St. Mary's Hall for a 10-4 SPC counter win. Luke Phillips and Guffey led the teams with 6 gb's each. Reed Daniel and Cameron Cuenod also scored. Jett Williams tallied an assist.
St. John's fought through a tough SMH defense and finally pulled ahead 8-3 on a goal from Edward Williams late in the third period.
The Mavericks hit the road on Tuesday against pre-season number one ranked Woodlands.
