WALLER SHOWS MAVS' METTLE IN FINAL REGULAR SEASON GAME

schambers
Fresh off the bus and playing on field turf, the Mavericks never found their groove outside of the crease.  Excuses aside, St. John's was also playing Highland Park, the number one ranked team in the state.  The Scots owned all of the real estate inside Highlander Stadium except for the 9 foot radius around Henry Waller.  Waller's season high 15 saves keeps the Mavericks believable for the upcoming THSLL playoffs.  He turned away the wave of shots by Johnny McKnight and company for most of the day.  The wheels never moved however for the St. John's offense.  A season low 15 shots rarely rattled the Scot's D in Dallas.
When the bus finally came to a halt in Houston, the hydraulics let our a hiss of relief to be back home at our own Scottland Yard.
St. John's is the fourth seed in the THSLL City playoffs and will host Kingwood on Thursday at 700 pm on Caven Field.
