MAVERICKS SNARL TIGERS' PLANS 14-3

The Mavs are an opportunistic bunch to be sure, and when their Kingwood game was cancelled, they jumped at the chance to schedule with St. Agnes - a new team that has a lot of positive buzz.  For a first-year team, St. Agnes showed that they will be a force in the near future.  That said, the Mavs dominated the contest, snagging 14 of 17 draws and controlling the game from start to finish.  Lacey led the charge with 4G.  Mer grabbed two draws and speedily converted them into 2 goals.  Jess and SUrdahl netted two, while Birthday Girl Alexa, Grace, Caroline and AB each talled once.  Defensively, Kelsey, Krissy, MA, Sarah D, Lily and Julia turned away many a scoring drive.  Good job, Mavs.  Let's be focused today, as tomorrow we face a talented team from the Woodlands, 7 PM.  It'll be a gorgeous night on Caven Field...fans are welcome!
