MAVERICKS NIP KNIGHTS 10-9 FOR FIRST SPC WIN
The Mavs were the victors and walked away with the W. In many respects, that's all that matters: a W in an SPC counter. Yet this group of players is too savvy to be satisfied with yesterday's game at EHS. This group knows that there is much work to be done to become the TEAM we know we can be!
Hats off to EHS, who used patient ball-control for most of the game to set the tempo and keep the ball from the Maverick sticks. Hats off to our defense for adapting to the settled attack and working hard all game. Hats off to our attack for scoring more goals than the other team, and hats off to Kelsey who stepped up big when her team needed it the most.
Practice makes perfect. Much work to be done in our next two practices. Let's see what we can accomplish before Friday, when we embark upon a big weekend of lacrosse!
