schambers

It all adds up to an 11-2 victory over Lamar for the 10 players and 1 manager from the class of 2010 on Senior Night.

With the breeze blowing and flags flying, St. John's took care of business to finish the regular season with a win over Lamar.
Ten players got in on the scoring led by Douglas Berkman's 2 goals and 2 assists.  Jordan Schuler also had 2 goals along with Caldwell Flores and Reed Daniel who also added an assist.  Blake Upchurch, Chris Gow and Walker Hobby scored 1 goal each and William Payne, Jack Russ and John Ytterberg tallied assists.

Lamar found themselves in the penalty box 9 times to the Mavericks 5, but the yellow flags did not mar the first ever Senior Night for St. John's.

Before the opening face off the players from the class of 2010 took their bow.  Clay Callaway, Reed Daniel, Robin Doody, Zach Gaitz, Walker Hobby, Andrew Mintz, Rush Moody, William Payne, Max Susman, Jett Williams , and John Ytterberg gave one more wave under the lights of Scotty Caven Field.

St. John's finishes their regular THSLL South district season with a 6-3 record and will await the outcome of the final week of play to determine their district seeding and possibly another chance to dance on Caven.

In the meantime, the Mavericks travel to Austin on Friday to take on the Eagles of ESD for a first round SPC matchup at 5:00 p.m. at St. Andrew's School.
