St. John's grinds out another THSLL win.
After getting punched in the mouth by Memorial in the first 6 minutes of play to go down 0-2, St. John's reeled off 9 unanswered goals and held on for another THSLL victory.

The Mustangs looked like they were going to have their way with the Mavericks for a third straight season, going up 2-0 early in the game, but Michael Cregan'13/Carl Bernicker '14, Douglas Berkman '12, and Chris Gow '12/Grayson Crady '13, put the Mavericks up for good at the 3:44 mark in the first period.

St. John's scored 5 more in the second quarter on shots by Cregan/David Edwards '13, Edwards/Gow, Crady/Jonathan Newar '13, Gow/Berkman, and Berkman/Gow to take a commanding 8-3 half time lead.

Bernicker scored towards the end of the third period and the Mustangs finished with two more.

St. John's out shot Memorial 40-14 and picked up 29 gb's to Memorial's 17.  Nate Whittle '12 had 10 saves for the second straight game.  Ben Griffin '13, and Logan Smith '13 led the team in clears.

Former lacrosse players Walker Hobby '10 and John Ytterberg '10 were in attendace for the win.

St. John's travels to the Woodlands on Wednesday.
