After going back and forth with Kingwood in the first three quarters, St. John's broke a 6-6 tie with 5 unanswered goals to leave the Mustangs in the dust and a trip to the Super Regionals
Grayson Crady '13 got things started for St. John's 2 minutes into the game.  Carl Bernicker '14 assisted Crady for the crank and a 1-0 lead.  Jake Askew '13 found a loose ball and the net for the Mavericks second score, followed by another Bernicker assisted goal to Jonathan Newar '13.  For every Maverick goal, the Mustangs countered with thier own and took a 4-3 lead before Bernicker found Douglas Berkman '12 for 1 of his game leading 4 goals on the day.  Paul Loya '13 assisted Berkman for the Mavericks 5th goal of the half, and Kingwood's Bryce scored his 3rd of 4 goals on the day to knot it at 5 at the break.

Chris Gow '12 put the Mavericks back on top with 1:24 in the 3rd, and Kingwood would answer a final time before
David Edwards '13 found Berkman for the game winner with 10 mintues to go.

Gow, Loya/Cade Shanks '14, and Berkman finished shots on Kingwood's Hepting (14 saves) to pull away with the win.

led St. John's with 6 gb's.  Will Griffin '13 won 8 face offs to pace the Mavericks at the x.

St. John's travels to Dallas Hillcrest to play Austin Anderson on Saturday, April 28th  2:00 p.m.  The winner gets Dallas Jesuit on Sunday at high noon.
