Jackie Modesett Runs #10 Time in the Nation in 400 Hurdles to Finish All-American!

Jackie Modesett, Stephanie Guo, and Sam Jamison all ran 400 hurdle personal bests at the New Balance Nationals in Greensboro, NC, with Jackie placing 4th overall to earn All-American status!  Stephanie finished 11th out of 44 runners in the 400 Hurdle Emerging Elite division with a time of 64.84 and Sam ran a PR of 57.43 in the boys' Emerging Elite division.

Jackie won the first of two seeded heats of the championship division, then had to wait 4 hours to watch the final fast heat of the race to see if she would place.  One girl was .02 seconds ahead of her from the 2nd heat, and only two girls ran faster in the final heat - Jackie finished 4th overall and got to receive her medal with the rest of the All-Americans!  Her time ranks her #10 in the nation in high school in the 400 hurdles, and #1 in the entire state of Texas!!!
