?The St. John's Mavericks JV Boys traveled north to John Cooper to take on the Dragons of John Cooper on Tuesday, March 22. Five matches were played, with all decided at most by one break of serve, two going to tie breakers. Out of these five, the Mavericks could only gain the upper hand in one of them, as Raunak Kundagrami prevailed at Line 1 Singles in a tie breaker. In Line 2 Singles, Ryan Chang gave up a service break in his last service game to drop his match. In Doubles, at Line 1, the Maverick tandem of Naveen Krishnan/William Wallace went to the wire, coming up just short in a tie breaker of their own. At Line 2, Louis Morrell/Will Rippeto lost their match which featured one service break at 4-6. Kevin Jung/Ribhu Nag at Line 3 fought hard, coming up short in their match, 3-6. This coming Thursday, March 24, the team looks to bounce back while splitting in two to take on the Wildcats of Westbury Christian at Lee LeClear Tennis Center and the Cavaliers of YES Prep Brays-Oaks at the Homer Ford Tennis Center.
