Maverick JV Boys Travel to Awty International
The St. John's Maverick Boys traveled to Awty International for a duel match today, Thursday, March 31.
The annual meeting this year featured Doubles only with five matches played.
The matches were well fought with three of the five decided by one break of serve.
The takeaways from the match were that progress in court positioning, recognition of the relative importance of specific points at specific times during the run of play, and communicating with one's partner during and between points, and the general management of pace of play to one's own advantage were all exhibitied.
