Maverick Boys' JV Battles Tough Emery Weiner Side

The split squad of the St. John's JV Boys' met a blended Varsity/JV team of the Emery Weiner Jaguars at Lee LeClear Tennis Center on Monday, April 4.
Our boys battled through four close matches (three Singles and one Doubles).
Lines 1 and 2 in Singles went down to the wire, with Naveen Krishnan dropping his match by one break of serve and William Wallace barely missing garnering the victory in a tie breaker. Kenji Chevray had a much easier time at Line 3, winning at love.
In Doubles, the the team of Ryan Chang/Nicholas Echeverri dropped a their macth against a veteran Jaguar team.
Next up, the lads travel to Pasadena on Wednesday, April 6, to take on the Longhorns of Pasadena Dobie. Hope to see you there.
