Maverick Girls and Boys Both Finish 2nd Place at SPC
The girls and boys had a very successful meet. The boys came up just short to St. Stephen's, and the girls ran a gutsy 4x400 to secure the first SPC trophy in 4 years. Peyton Brown won the 800m and 1600m, Isabelle Paine won the 300 Hurdles, the girls were 2nd in the 4x400 and 3rd in the 4x100, setting a new school record of 48.93. The boys broke the school and SPC meet record in the 4x100 relay with a 41.85 and ran away with the 4x400 relay in 3:22.49. Genson Hooper-Price stole the show by anchoring both relays and tying the SPC meet record in the 100m (and lowering his school record) in 10.57, and winning the 400m to lower his school record and set a new SPC record in 48.12!
