Mavs Win Season Opener

The first and second halves felt like 2 different games.  While we were up 2-0 at half, and SFE scored to make it a one goal game in the second half, the first half was a much more even game than the second half.  In the first half, Lauren was forced to, and did, make too many good saves.  In the second half, we dealt with their pressure much better so we saw fewer shots, and in particular, fewer dangerous shots.  Since it was our first game, we expected improvement between the halves but were pleasantly surprised at the amount.  Hopefully, this is a sign of things to come.
