Boys & Girls Travel to the Island - Come Back with Hardware

On Thursday, March 26, the Boys and Girls JV traveled to Galveston for the Peter Andrew Sunseri Memorial Team Tennis Tournament. Eight teams were represented besides our Mavericks- Galveston Ball HS, Freeport Brazosport HS, Pasadena J Frank Dobie HS, Alief Elsik HS, Alief Hasings HS, Katy Taylor HS, and Texas City HS. Our netters made it through to the finals and came upon the depth and quality of Alief Elsik, after defeating Barazosport and Hastings. in the quarterfinals and semis. They were stronger that afternoon but the whole team competed well, representing Maverick nation with grit and honor. Well done! and go Mavericks!
