More Strong Maverick Performances to Close out Texas Relays
Taylor Synnott started the day with her 2nd fastest every 3200 meters, followed by season bests for both girls and boys 4x100 relay teams. Journey Zulueta, CC Jorgensen, Josephine Barbee, and Thea Popovic ran 48.43 for the 2nd fasted Maverick 4x1 ever to miss finals by one spot! Albert Zhou, Blake Haas, Joe Dalicandro, and Nicholas Arribas ran 43.81. The boys 4x800 team of Asher Gurr, Ayush Lalwani, Henry Caputo, and Andrew Wasserman ran a tough cold and windy race to finish 6th overall! The girls 4x400 team of Journey, Taylor, Kiki Boukas, and Thea finished 4th overall in the finals with a time of 4:01.32. over 3 days in Austin... Boys DMR Record, Journey 100 Hurdle PR, girls 4x400 prelims 2nd fastest time in history and 4th in finals, boys BIG season best 4x400, Taylor barely off PR in the 3200m, and season best 4x100s! Zulueta PRs and Girls and Boys 4x400 Relays Shine!
Journey ran a 14.60 PR in the 100 Hurdles, the girls team of Journey, Taylor Synnott, Sofia Hanna, and Thea Popovic qualified for the Saturday finals with a 3:59.36, and the boys team of Barrett Dunahoe, Henry Caputo, Blake Haas, and Andrew Wasserman ran a season best 3:31.13. Taylor runs the 3200m Saturday morning, the girls and boys 4x100 relays have prelims, the boys 4x800 runs midday, and the girls 4x400 (and maybe 4x100) run finals tomorrow afternoon!Read More -
