Boys' JV Takes 11 to 2015 Bay Area Racquet Club Tournament
Read MoreMarch 27, 2015 – The 2015 Bay Area Racquet Club Junior Varsity Tournament (W – 10 L - 10)As the saying goes, no rest for the weary. On Friday morning, bright and early at 6:00 AM, the motor coach with 6 of the Girls’ JV Team, 11 of the Boys’ JV as well as Coaches Bahr and Graham departed from Caven while still dark, with Coach Kagan arriving under his own steam.The 11 included Shane Zerr, Jonathan Bloom, Sadde Mohamed, Michael He, Kevin Jung, Louis Morrell, Ribhu Nag, Charlie Neuhaus, Advait Prakash, Will Rippeto, Drew Woodfolk .The Boys’ Tournament featured 7 schools (Awty International, Concordia Lutheran, Emery Weiner, Ft. Bend Christian Academy, Lutheran South Academy, Second Baptist, St, John’s) in two divisions, with the Mavericks bringing two squads.Each player was guaranteed two matches with most getting on court to play three.Here are some of the results:Singles (A Draw)Will Rippeto – Finalist, Main DrawSadde Mohamed – Winner, Back DrawDoubles (B Draw)Kevin Jung/Ribhu Nag – Winner of Back Draw.After a full day of matches and good play on the courts, a tired group of Mavericks returned to campus at 5:00 PM, looking forward to hitting the courts Monday.
