Vikings Edge Out Mavericks

The Middle School Girls Tennis team traveled to The Village School on a breezy afternoon to play a conference match consisting of three singles and two doubles matches.  Sophia J. and Lydia each lost their singles matches in straight sets, and the Mavericks found themselves down 0-2.  Skylar won her singles match in two close sets to make the overall score 1-2.  After winning their first set in a tiebreaker, Serina & Morgan won the second set of their doubles match quickly to make the overall score 2-2.  Jennifer & Kristen lost the first set of their doubles match, but then came back to win their second set in impressive fashion.  So, just like the last time that the two schools played, the entire match came down to a third set tiebreaker which the Vikings won this time around.  Congratulations to both teams for their admirable sportsmanship and efforts!  Thanks to our parents for their most appreciated support, and to Lydia for stepping up at the last minute to compete in the match.
