Genson Hooper Price Signs NLI
Congratulations to Genson Hooper Price '19 for signing a National Letter of Intent to play football for Northwestern University next fall.
Hooper Price, a three-sport athlete in football, basketball and track & field for St. John's, attributed his success to his family, friends, coaches, faculty, and faith.
"It's surreal to see everyone here," said Genson. "It shows how many people helped me along the way. I did not get here by myself."
"There is no better role model than Genson," said Coach Melvin Baker.
Genson will be trading his Maverick scarlet red for Northwestern purple next year. He already has the playbook and is looking forward to the next set of challenges as a Wildcat.
"I'm getting ready for the Big Ten," said Hooper Price.
In the meantime, he has a basketball season and his own set of track & field records to pursue as a St. John's Maverick.
